My First Hostel Experience

Time to check out of the luxurious InterContinental Singapore Hotel and check into the Cozy Backpacker Hostel. My first hostel experience. I’m anxious and then pleasantly surprised because we have our own room. It has a table/desk, chair, window, and bunk beds. The hostel is filled with young people with an older person sprinkled in here and there. The bathrooms are down the hall. Toilets and showers are private with a common sink area.

Bunk beds. Thanks, Andy for sleeping on top.
Our shower has hot water!

In the morning there is bread, pineapple jelly, tea and coffee and yes, a toaster. There is a computer to send emails and a lounge area to hang out. All in all, a good first experience.

Han Christian Anderson said, "To travel is to live." I know I did a lot of living before I started traveling but traveling is thrilling. I learned more about myself, it opened my eyes and heart that staying at home couldn't do. I'm stronger, more aware and more grateful for the life I have. ~ "The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever." Psalm 121:8
